Lars Crama appointed as new director of InnovationQuarter

InnovationQuarter has appointed Lars Crama as the new General Director/CEO effective June 1st, 2025. Crama is an experienced leader in entrepreneurship, innovation and strategic collaborations. With an impressive track record in scaling businesses, guiding investments and building robust ecosystems, he brings a wealth of experience to the organization.

Crama has a diverse background in the world of startups, scale-ups and innovation. He played a leading role in the development of Up!Rotterdam, a collaborative initiative of more than 30 parties focused on strengthening the innovation ecosystem in the region. He contributed to the growth of over 1,600 innovative companies and was involved in strategic initiatives to better connect talent, financing and market opportunities. Additionally, he played a key role in the development of investment networks and circular economy initiatives such as Arches Capital and BlueCity010. Previously, he was co-responsible for the scaling and European expansion of two companies in marketing technology.

His work focuses not only on economic growth but also on societal transitions, including the shift to a circular economy, sustainable innovation, and strengthening cooperation between public and private sectors. His expertise in guiding companies through these transitions and his experience as a leader and supervisor in various (international) organizations make him highly suitable to further position InnovationQuarter as the driving force for innovation and sustainable economic growth in Zuid-Holland. As the new director of InnovationQuarter, Crama will also play a central role in enhancing collaboration with public stakeholders in Zuid-Holland. He takes on the responsibility of bringing together governments, educational institutions, and companies to collaboratively work on innovative solutions for regional and societal challenges.
