South Holland region is proud to announce the establishment of a cutting-edge laboratory by Bluefors, the renowned Finnish company specializing in ultra-low temperature refrigeration and cryogenic systems. This expansion marks a significant milestone for Bluefors and reinforces the Netherlands\u2019 position as a key player in the global quantum ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The newly established lab in Delft offers companies access to a dilution refrigerator measurement system, allowing them to conduct quantum measurements without the need to invest in their own infrastructure. With the convenience of the lab and the expertise of the Bluefors<\/a> team, companies can avail themselves of consultation and support throughout their experiments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This state-of-the-art facility is expected to serve as a pivotal platform for developing innovative solutions within the global scientific community. Additionally, it will provide invaluable support to Bluefors\u2019 growing customer base throughout Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bluefors\u2019 decision to expand into the Netherlands was strongly influenced by the pioneering work of the Delft scientific community in quantum technology. As one of Europe\u2019s most prominent quantum ecosystems, the scientific community in Delft now has access to Bluefors\u2019 new laboratory space and measurement services, facilitating their utilization of advanced cryogenic measurement systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a launching member of the House of Quantum in Delft, Bluefors has positioned itself as a significant partner in the Netherlands\u2019 thriving quantum technology landscape. In collaboration with Dutch startup Orange Quantum Systems, which offers rapid testing of quantum chips, Bluefors has integrated a quantum research system into the lab to support the necessary room-temperature electronics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Demonstrating its commitment to the local community, Bluefors has appointed a dedicated manager to support customers directly at the lab. Arttu Huikuri<\/a>, a cryo engineer and scientist, serves as the Technical Services Manager, ensuring the optimal performance of the lab\u2019s cryogenic measurement system and providing guidance to researchers and startups utilizing the facility to further their ideas and innovations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

QuantrolOx<\/a>, an Anglo-Finnish company specializing in automated qubit control software, was among the first to utilize the lab\u2019s services for testing their control software. Throughout the process, they received valuable consultation and support from the Bluefors team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With its flexible services and unique opportunities for research and development, this lab is positioned to embark on a groundbreaking chapter in the narrative of quantum computing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notable startups like Qblox, specializing in quantum computer control equipment, have experienced significant growth, doubling their workforce to 100 employees within a year. The quantum ecosystem in South Holland offers a comprehensive supply chain for quantum systems, including specialized chips, cables, and testing and measurement systems. A new building with 2,500 square meters<\/strong> of dedicated quantum research space<\/strong> is set to be completed, with 70%<\/strong> of the space already rented to seven different companies.
