''I am passionate about working at the intersection of public and private. I enjoy working with partners to renew and strengthen the economy of Zuid-Holland, by focusing on energy transition, digitalization and the transition to a circular economy.''
I have been working at InnovationQuarter since November 2018. I started as project leader Human Capital for the Economic Board Zuid-Holland. With this we have the ambition to make South Holland the region where the labor market is structurally and sustainably improved, so that companies can have enough employees with the right education and skills; now and in the future. In this we work closely with partners from business, knowledge institutions and government. Since November 2022, I have been the secretary of the Economic Board Zuid-Holland. I love working at the intersection of public and private. I enjoy working with partners to renew and strengthen the Zuid-Holland economy by focusing on energy transition, digitalization and the transition to a circular economy.
Besides my work I love sports, culture and in general I’m an outgoing person. I live in the center of Rotterdam with my partner. In addition, I love cycling and regularly go to the gym. I am a real runner and in 2018 I ran the Rotterdam marathon and I plan to do so again in 2023. I also enjoy playing beach volleyball, diving and skiing. Besides my work, I am a board member of the Popdelft foundation that stimulates the pop climate in Delft. Finally, I love going out for dinner and visiting a nice event or festival.
Before joining the Economic Board Zuid-Holland I was alderman of the municipality of Delft with the portfolio Economy, Culture and Spatial Planning. Prior to that I was a consultant at Ecorys in the field of transport and infrastructure. I studied Technical Public Administration at TU Delft.
