Toxys launches large international validation study for ToxTracker

Together with a consortium of leading experts in the field of genotoxicity, Toxys has started a large inter-laboratory validation study for their ToxTracker assay. With this study, Toxys aims to demonstrate the transferability, intra- and inter-laboratory reproducibility as well as the predictive capacity of the assay.

Airborne International secures Series C investment round to accelerate its automation growth strategy

Airborne International, a leading provider of advanced composite solutions for a variety of industrial applications, accelerates its growth strategy by completing a Series C round. SABIC, via its corporate venturing arm, has invested growth capital in composites specialist Airborne International B.V. (“Airborne”) in The Hague. With this investment, SABIC joins a growth financing round by existing shareholders including Pangaea Ventures Fund III, L.P., HPE PRO Institutional Fund B.V., InnovationQuarter Capital and Innovatiefonds Brabant B.V..

West Holland entrepreneurs make their mark in southern Germany

A 60-strong delegation, headed by InnovationQuarter and Economische Programmaraad Zuidvleugel (EPZ, the regional economic board), recently met with existing and potential German partners in Munich and Stuttgart. During an intensive two-day mission to southern Germany (1 to 3 May), delegates took part in a rich programme of activities focusing on cyber security and personalised medicine. The visit provided many opportunities to establish useful contacts for future cooperation and business openings in the southern German market.

The Netherlands Ranks No. 1 in Connectivity on 2017 Digital Economy and Society Index

The Netherlands ranks first in the EU for connectivity and fourth in the EU for overall digitization on the 2017 Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI). Released annually by the European Commission, DESI measures digital progress of European countries based on five different categories. These categories include connectivity, human capital, use of internet, integration of digital technology and digital public services. The Netherlands precedes Belgium, the UK and Ireland on the index.

Technology Exchange Roadshow to explore maritime business opportunities in Singapore

Following Sea Asia, which took place in Singapore from April 25 to 27, InnovationQuarter and Netherlands Maritime Technology organized a Technology Exchange Roadshow (TER). During this Technology Exchange Roadshow a group of six maritime companies providing a cost reducing technology met with three ship-owners and a shipyard.

International Robotics Week: connecting robots and people worldwide

The event RoboValley worked towards since the founding in 2015: the first International Robotics Week. From April 19 - 21 2017, RoboValley was able to show the whole world what they have built in the past years and what RoboValley stands for: connecting robots and people worldwide. AeroVinci receives seed capital to develop autonomous drone network

Delft-based startup AeroVinci is to receive an investment of € 300,000 from UNIIQ investment fund and Delft Enterprises. The decision was announced on 19 April at the TUS Expo in The Hague by Niels Westendorp, founder of this event. This capital injection will enable AeroVinci to continue with the development of a fully autonomous drone network. The investment will also allow the company to subject the technology to an extensive test programme.

New € 700,000 investment accelerates international growth of Cybersprint

Each week, hundreds of thousands of websites are hacked. Hackers misuse the names of well-known companies and institutions to create fake sites in order to steal personal information and other data. Under the leadership of CEO Pieter Jansen, Cybersprint has developed a software solution that identifies all websites associated with an organisation and detects phishing and malware sites. A new € 700,000 investment by InnovationQuarter and two angel investors, Lennard Zwart and Arthur van der Wees, will allow Cybersprint to further develop this software and accelerate its international growth.

TerugblIQ – InnovationQuarter 2016 Annual Report

In its third year of existence, InnovationQuarter has had a record 12-month period, according to its 2016 Annual Report published today. The regional development agency attracted more foreign firms than ever to the region, has made no less than 19 investments and stimulated several dozen innovative partnerships between companies. In 2016, InnovationQuarter’s activities led to € 139 million of additional private investments and the creation of 971 new jobs in the region.

American cyber security company Dtex Systems sets up in Europe’s leading security cluster

The Hague and Europe’s leading security cluster today witnessed the arrival of a new cyber security firm. The US company Dtex Systems was officially welcomed at the HSD Campus by The Hague Security Delta and InnovationQuarter. CEO of Dtex Systems, Christy Wyatt, flew over to West Holland from San Jose, California, to sign the HSD Premium Partnership and receive a special plaque to mark the occasion.
