Partner Invest in Holland
InnovationQuarter is a regional partner of the Invest in Holland network of the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA). Together with regional development agencies like InnovationQuarter, Rotterdam Partners, the The Hague Business Agency (THBA) and a number of large cities, we assist foreign companies in setting up their office in the Netherlands. InnovationQuarter serves The Rotterdam The Hague metropolitan region – a compact area in the urbanised delta in the western part of the Netherlands – containing no fewer than 60 municipalities, 3 renowned universities, and a strong international business community with a truly entrepreneurial spirit.
Companies need capital to grow and scale-up. As a proactive and committed lifecycle financier, InnovationQuarter increases access to capital for innovative companies in West Holland, at various stages of growth. With our investment activities from the three funds IQCapital, UNIIQ and ENERGIIQ, we realize more economic growth and employment in this unique delta region.
A fund of € 80 million for investments in innovative companies, from startup to scale-up and mature SMEs in West Holland.
A fund for financing the commercialization of proven energy innovations that leads to CO2 reduction. The € 35 million fund is from the Province of Zuid-Holland.
A € 22 million investment fund, set up by Erasmus MC, TU Delft, Leiden University and InnovationQuarter, focused on the proof-of-concept phase to bridge the riskiest phase from concept to promising business. UNIIQ is made possible by the European Union.
InnovationQuarter facilitates (international) collaboration between innovative entrepreneurs, knowledge institutes and government. Our Business Development team acts as independent process directors and provide knowledge and expertise, and facilitates network opportunities. In order to be able to fulfil this role, we are constantly in touch with major corporates, young technology companies and knowledge institutes.
We remain informed of the latest technological developments, so we can translate them into ideas for innovations. An important added value of Business Development lies in the realization of cross-sectoral innovations: connecting innovative solutions with social impact from different sectors.
