This three-day trade mission is jointly organised by InnovationQuarter, Rotterdam Partners, the City of Rotterdam, Rotterdam Maritime Capital of Europe and DronePort Rotterdam. It connects innovative companies from the Rotterdam region and Province of Zuid-Holland to Hamburg’s maritime ecosystem and one of the world’s leading maritime industry events: SMM Hamburg 2026.
The mission is designed for companies working on maritime technology, smart logistics, autonomous and uncrewed systems, safety and security, energy transition, data, AI, sensors, connectivity and other enabling technologies for the Port Cities of the Future. The goal is clear: helping companies turn promising solutions into international partnerships, market access and scalable maritime applications.

SMM is the world’s leading maritime industry event, held biennially at Hamburg Messe. The 2026 edition takes place from 1 to 4 September and is expected to welcome over 2,200 exhibitors and around 50,000 international attendees from 120 nations. SMM provides a platform for innovation in shipbuilding, marine engineering, offshore systems and digital technologies, as well as opportunities to engage in career development and global maritime discussions. New for 2026 is a dedicated conference and exhibition spotlighting the transformation of port operations towards climate-neutral and resilient models.

Programme subject to change. Participation fee: €650 excl. VAT per organisation for a maximum of two company representatives. Travel, accommodation and the SMM Hamburg entry ticket are not included.
