The Netherlands are hosting the European ITS Congress 2019, the largest event on Smart Mobility and the digitalization of transport. On June 2nd and 7th, during the ITS European Congress, InnovationQuarter will organize visits to the Metropolitan region Rotterdam – The Hague. These visits for participants are focused on testing and practice of Autonomous Transport for Last Mile.
Unique AT ecosystem in the Rotterdam – The Hague region
As our region harbors leading research institutes, incubators, accelerators and leading companies in the field of Autonomous Transport, the region offers a unique ecosystem. The Metropolitan Region Rotterdam – The Hague has moreover made a head-start with implementing the 5G network and has one of the best developed road networks. During the visit we will share practical experience gathered in the region and show you aspects of the development and implementation of autonomous transport for the last mile and smart mobility solutions.

During the visit we will go to The Green Village in Delft where various topics will be addressed and projects showcased, amongst which:
- The Researchlab Automated Driving Delft where research and testing with various types of self-driving vehicles takes place.
- The Researchlab Automated Shipping will be presented.
- Hardt Hyperloop
- Formula Student Team Delft Driverless.
- Evanet Nano Hub
Following, we will go to HagaZiekenhuis where self-driving shuttles are operated to give insight into implementation and operation of autonomous transport. Of course you will hear about current research and the region’s policy goals.
As we want to give visitors to the ITS Congress an opportunity to visit our region we are organizing the visits on June 2nd and June 7th giving visitors an opportunity to take part when coming from Schiphol airport. On June 7th at 8:30 from Evoluon. We will arrange transport.
